Third Portfolio: FIFA World Cup Analysis (1930-2022)

Introduction

This is the third week of the Bootcamp at Side Hustle. So far it has been a learning curve for me which I can say has been worthwhile.

My next task for the Bootcamp was to work on a Football world cup analysis from 1930 to 2022.

As usual, the first step was the sourcing of the dataset. Which was a bit of a challenge especially in finding the right dataset for the analysis. I ended up sourcing for four datasets containing information from 1930 to 2022. Each datasets had similarities in terms of year and hosts but were different in their focus. All datasets used for this analysis were sourced from Kaggle.

The next step was to devise a means of combining each datasets. This I did with the aid of the merge queries in the home tab. After merging the datasets and including columns I needed, the next step was to transform the dataset.

Transformation included removal of duplicate rows, changing column titles, changing data types, and adding columns.
